Yesterday we were talking about children's rooms.  In going through some old paper work, I came across this picture.  It is from a To the Trade magazine.  This room was done by Bonnie Pressley in Benbrook, Texas.

We have been talking about all the things in this room.  Notice the murals on the walls.  As the child grows these can easily be covered over.  The rug is by Mary Englebright.  The photographer is Bradley Olman.   The table and chairs can easily be used elsewhere, or redone to fit into another scheme.  Everything here says little girl, or young teen.  How fn.

Designers used to have what we called tear files.   I still tear things out that I like, but now there are easily filed on my computer.  This is one now that I found, is on the computer.

The walls look like several areas, it is just done with paint.  Murals have become very popular in many areas, inside and outside.  Thee is also Faux painting in this room, that may never have to be changed until the child is quite older.

Another thing I forgot about is "Blackboard Paint".  It can be purchased in most paint departments and make you own chalkboard on your child's wall.  It works great.  They can express themselves and change it, play games or whatever.  It also works well on any wall, to leave messages for family members.  You can frame it and it looks great.

\This is a room for the client's grandchildren.  So see, you can do everything, and anything you want to do.
