Changing color a bit

I should have titled this blog "High-end look for Less".

Today, I was reading a lot about color.  I love, love purple and pale turquoise, but today I saw a picture of purple and lime green.  It was smashing!!  I am going to try something tomorrow.  I have white furniture in my living room.  I also have a dark blue oriental rug.  I have always used blue accessories with crystal and silver.  Tomorrow, I am going to pull in my turquoise pillows from the pool area.  They are an outdoor fabric, but it doesn't matter.  I have looked for two years for plain purple throw pillows that I like.  I will have to make some to get what I want.  Yes, I sew.  I try and fit it in every once in a while if I want something special.

We have been talking about the outside areas.  Even if you live up North, you can buy things for the outdoors very cheap this time of the year.  Even in Florida, things that are classified summer are on sale.  I bought a yellow outdoor pillow that is embroidered with fall color flowers.  It will fit nicely with my other yellow pillows.  I am truly the Queen of Pillows

Yellow is a color that shouts "Look at me", in a setting, even a garden.  Yellow is  bright bit to add to anything.  I have yellow throw pillows outside paired with the turquoise.  I am not sure what I'll add if I take the turquoise indoors.  That is the wonderful thing about all colors of pillows.  I really need an area just or pillows.  I have several bags of them in the attic.  Fortunately, I have an air conditioned attic room.  It is loaded!

I will be taking some before and after pictures of my lanai, as I am redoing it this week.  Here is a picture of the grill area, with the retro dish (that I bought at  yard sale) sitting there.  That is what I am doing the painting for.

On the right is a flower pot holder, with a French pot that has changed color due to weather.  I will fill it with flowers.  tomorrow, I hope to have that project done.  I am starting too many projects.  It is easier to take on section  at a time.
