A small piece on kitchens

Since we started talking about kitchens, I have found a few things that are interesting.

First of all, bouquets of flowers, of which I have talked about before, add a bit of garden ambiance to your counter top of table.  I love to change them on my table.  I have found alstromeria to give great colors, and lasts a long time.  In Florida it is readily available at our super markets, for a small price of $4.00.  Last evening, I bought a bouquet of pink.  Out of one off my magazines it stated" think how you feel when you walk into a flower shop".  The beauty of flowers never surprises me.  This adds a touch of color and elegance even on a dreary day.

Place mats are a favorite of mine.  I can't resist them.  I have so many different ones, and still buy them.  They, along with flowers, add such a special touch to any kitchen table.  At dinner time, add some candlelight and you have a very romantic setting even if it is only pizza.

I like to find place mats on sale.  I recently found some great navy blue ones at Dillards for $2.40 each.  It doesn't matter if you change them every week for something else for that price.  I also love plain white place mats and place a colored one on top of it and let the white peek out a little.  Actually, you can do this with any plain color.  I found some great white place mats at a garage sale for $1.00 for 8.  Great Bargain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you find bargains like that?  Please tell me if you do.
