Now that I am writing 2 blogs, it takes time.
We were talking about furniture in the last blog, so let's interject antiques. Either you love them, or they are just not you. They do take care to keep them looking their best. I feel that some pieces are ageless and can be used with no matter what you have.
This has become a throw away society, and young people seem to want sleek new lines, little clutter, and bright colors or are very mono-chromatic.
The baby boomer generation, as many of us are referred to, like out things. We tend to hold on to things that make us comfortable. We are not catching up on the new technologies as fast as the younger generations. If I need something, I can count on my grandchildren to know how to do it.
Perhaps it's always been that way.
so to all you younger generation whoa are reading this, try and keep the older things, they are memories, warmth and comforting when things get tough. Remember your old Teddy or Blankie, or whatever you had that you sought comfort in. It is the same with old things.
This is why I keep going back to Resale shops, Thrift shops and Estate Sales.
